Daftar Lagu Barat Populer Tahun 80-an -1

Kalau kita coba kumpulkan Lagu-lagu barat  populer atau hits mancanegara –dari ragam aliran-  di tahun 80-an mungkin saja jumlahnya bisa mencapai ribuan. Sebagian lagu datang  dari musisi/artis yang memang sudah punya pamor dimasa itu : Irene Cara, Cyndi Lauper, Deniece Williams, Wham, De Barge, Whitney Houston, Sade, Bily Joel, Madonna, Air Supply, Daryl Hall and John Oates, Janet Jackson, KC & The Sunshine Band, Michael Jackson, New Edition, George Michael, Pet Shop Boys, Miami Sound Machine, Prince, Phi-Collins, Jody Watley, Lisa Lisa  & Cult Jam, The Jets, Robie Nevil, Robert Palmer, Belinda Carlise, Lionel Richie,  Expose, Swing Out Sister, Richard Marx, Taylor Dayne, Rick Astley, Debbie Gibson, Tifany, Lisa Stansfield, Paula Abdul, Boy Meets Girl,  New Kids on the Block dan banyak lagi. Sedangkan dari deretan pop, rock atau diatas tingkatannya lagu-lagu muncul dari band-band/musisi seperti Foreigner, Rio Speedwagon, Genesis, Yes, Journey, David Bowie, Chicago,  Bryan Adams, Toto, Huey Lewis News, Starship, Don Henley, Heart, Boston, 38 Special, Rick Springfield, John Waite, Bruce Hornsby & the Range, John Parr, Bruce Springteens, John Cougar Mellencamp,  Poison, Europe,, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard dan White Snake dan lain sebagainya,  dan itu semua belum termasuk lagu-lagu  aliran new wave atau berbagai aliran lainnya termasuk pop-jazz

Postingan kali adalah daftar Lagu-Lagu Barat 80-an  populer bagian-1 yang memang sebagian besar nama-nama artisnya tidak dikenal atau belum lagi familiar dikalangan remaja 80-an dulu. Meskipun begitu, beberapa lagu pernah sangat populer dan gencar diputar dibeberapa radio swasta terkemuka di Jakarta dimasa itu, seperti : You're gonna like it-The President, kemudianThe Blue Hour milik Intimate Strangers, juga  lagu Hypnotized dari Copy Right, ataupun Play It Cool-nya Freiheit. Dan ada dua lagu yang masih saya ingat, yaitu The Story Of Gone With The Wind - Paul Jackson  pernah menempati posisi puncak chart Prambors Top 40 serta Working for the Fat man-The Escape Club di chart Elshinta-13.
